David M. Calabro was a Post-doctoral research fellow for the Center for the Preservation of Ancient Religious Texts in 2015. He worked with the Syriac Corpus project, with a focus on developing a TEI encoding schema and a model for developing a Syriac etymological dictionary.
David received a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago (2014), an M.A. in Hebrew Bible from Vanderbilt University (2003), and a B.A. in Near Eastern Studies from Brigham Young University (2000). He has authored several pioneering studies on Near Eastern culture and language. He has also taught classes on Biblical Hebrew and ancient Near Eastern texts.
